A Love Affair With London

February sees a new exhibition of contemporary landscape paintings by Praphan Rakarin. “A Love Affair With London” is a series of 26 monochrome landscapes of well know London landmarks, painted while the artist was living in London. If monochrome seems an unlikely palette for a landscape prepare to be surprised. Rakarin vividly captures the subtleties and shades of the London cityscape.

One Soul: a new exhibition by Vichian Boonmeemak

January sees a new exhibition of contemporary expressionist painting by Vichian Boonmeemak. It is also our first ever exhibition in our new artspace at Paradox, Bangkok’s newest dining, shopping and recreational venue, on the corner of Ekkamai 17. The exhibition is an expression of Vichian’s search for enlightenment and runs until February 9. We hope you have an opportunity to visit.

Tonle Sap Lake

Cambodia’s Great Lake, the Boeung Tonle Sap is the most prominent feature on the map of Cambodia - a huge dumbbell-shaped body of water stretching across the northwest section of the country. In the wet season, the Tonle Sap Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Asia, swelling to an expansive 12,000 km2. During the dry half of the year the Lake shrinks to as small as 2500 km2.

Marvellous Angkor

Angkor, one of the most beautiful and mysterious historical areas in the world. The ruins of Angkor are located amid forests and farmland near modern day Siem Reap, and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temples of the Angkor area number over one thousand and include the magnificent Angkor Wat, said to be the world’s largest single religious monument.
